Practitioner Type: Every specialty has unique location strategy needs. All reports are tailored specifically to your practice specialty. Competition data and ratios on all practice types in the area are included, as well. Some practice types may have an additional charge due to the complexity of validating competing practitioners.
Which Best Describes Your Situation? Are you a Start-Up or an Established practice? Buying or selling? Let us know, this helps us help you. All in strict confidence.
Base Location Address: The fixed address or location that is the starting point for your report. For example, "I want to search within a 30 minute drive time of downtown Columbus."
Describe Your Base Location: Select urban, suburban, or rural.
Choose Your Method to Determine The Search Area: Choose one of three options below to determine the Search Area from your Base Location. This is used to determine which Census Block Groups are in the Search Area. Please contact a specialist if you are unsure of the best parameters for your situation.
1. Report Area Drive Time (Minutes): Determine the Drive Time Search Area from your Base Location. Please contact a specialist if you are unsure of the best drive time for your situation.
2. Provide a Report Area Map: Email your custom report area map along with your order number to your specialist at email@example.com.
3. Provide Report Area Instructions: Let your Specialist create a custom area based on your instructions. This may account for boundaries such as rivers, highways, other man-made barriers, etc.
Census Block Group Search Radius (Miles): Mile Radius measurements are used to evaluate the market close to each individual Census Block Group inside the Drive Time Search Area. For example, an urban report might use a 1-mile radius, a suburban report 3 miles, a rural report might use 10 miles. Please contact a specialist if you are unsure of the best mile radius for your situation.
Census Block Group Drive Time (Minutes): Drive Time measurements are used to evaluate the overall market close to each individual Census Block Group inside the Drive Time Search Area, which we define as "how far would a prospective new patient drive to come to your practice if they saw your advertisement?" Please contact a specialist if you are unsure of the best drive time for your situation.
Average Household Income Filter: Filter your search results based on the average household income of your ideal patient. For example, selecting $75,000 will exclude any pockets of potential locations with an average household income of $75,000 and lower. Included in Platinum and Gold Studies, available as a premium feature in a Silver Study.
Exclude Non-Licensed Areas: Exclude data in non-licensed areas from your results, such as when looking at an area where the search area would cross a state line, or avoid certain cities or other non-desired areas, etc.
Exclude Non-Compete Areas: Exclude Non-Compete Areas from your results.
Expedited Delivery Time: Expedited turnaround is available, please contact your Specialist to make arrangements. Normal delivery is within 7-10 business days.

frequently asked questions
What is a “Pocket?”
A "Pocket" is an area derived in a Market Opportunity Search that indicates a potential market for a practice. It is normally made up of a small number of full or partial Census Block Groups. The goal is to find pockets where the competition ratios are high and include Average Household Income greater than a threshold derived from your ideal target patient.
What is a REALratio?
A REALratio is a proprietary ratio of population to practitioners used to evaluate competition ratios to indicate when a market generally is considered to be saturated. For example, the REALratio for a General Dentist is 2,000. A ratio higher than 2,000 would indicate the market has potential for an additional practitioner(s). A number below 2,000 indicates the area is already oversaturated and should be evaluated carefully. Each practice specialty has its own REALratio value.

How do you validate practitioners in a search area?
We utilize the best national practitioner database possible, as well as validating the existence of practitioners using various manual and internet tools to materially ensure the accuracy of competition ratios for all practitioner types.
Why do I need a mile radius and drive time?
For each Census Block Group in your search area, we calculate data using both Radius and Drive Time parameters for the highest return of information. The Radius typically assesses the market in close proximity to a location. Drive Time typically assesses the overall market for a location (i.e. How far a new patient with no prior knowledge of a practice would drive). This presents two outstanding views of the potential practice market. For example, a suburban market search may include a 2-3 Mile Radius and a 10-15 Minute Drive Time. In rare cases a second radius view instead of drive time may make sense. Talk to your specialist to determine the best Radius and Drive Time for your unique situation.
What is the return policy?
All reports are a snapshot in time. Therefore, due to the digital nature of the reports and that the data changes frequently, returns and refunds are unavailable. However, our policy is to provide unmatched customer satisfaction. If something isn’t right, please contact us right away. Unfortunately, we have no control over the data results, so unhappiness with the results is out of our control.
What is the turnaround time?
7-10 Business Days. Expedited delivery is available. Please consult with your specialist to make arrangements.
What are the best search parameters?
The best search parameters for your results will depend on if your location is rural, suburban, or urban. Major highways, bodies of waters, and railroads may also affect your search parameters. We highly recommend scheduling a free consultation with a Specialist who will provide recommended guidelines based on your situation. Click here to schedule your free consultation now.
Will you keep our discussions and my reports confidential?
