10x more effective than zip codes

Tech the giants use. Now accessible to practitioners.

precise measurements, relevant results.

Look, we know every company claims their services and methods are the best. But let us show you real-life examples of how Realscore’s Census Block Group Technology really is better for your career, lifestyle, and legacy. We think you’ll agree.

So what the heck is a Census Block Group?

  • A Census Block Group (CBG) is the smallest geographical unit used by the US Census Bureau.
  • CBGs are the smallest unit for which demographic data is published.
  • CBGs are very small and include a population of 600 – 3,000 people reflecting natural areas and geographical boundaries.
  • There are a total of 217,740 searchable CBGs in the US.

What’s wrong with Zip Codes or Concentric Circles?

Zip Codes and Concentric Circles are artificially defined boundaries that have no actual relevance to patient behavior and true market information. Being irregular in shape and often too large, they include unnecessary data that will skew your search area results while simultaneously excluding relevant market information outside of the artificial boundary.

Zip Codes and Concentric Circles are dangerous to use for Location Strategy. Don’t make decisions that affect your practice, family, and goals based on old, outdated, and irrelevant methods. 10x more precise than Zip Codes

There are 217,740 searchable CBGs in the USA versus 27,797 general Zip Codes, meaning the results are 10x more precise across the US.

10x the potential markets. 10x more relevant demographic data. 10x clearer results.

Benefits of choosing Realscore’s technology

Every detail covered

For every report, Realscore sums the number of practitioners and all demographic data for all of the CBG’s in the radius, drive time, and/or user-drawn search area [for what purpose?].

no more missing results

Realscore’s app automatically determines if a search area boundary is excluding a nearby major cluster of additional relevant data and then includes that data within the search results. Know your results reflect the true market and patient driving behavior.

Partial Census Block Group inclusion

Practitioner and demographic data is not either “in” or “out.” Our results are based on the percentage of the CBG that falls within the boundary of the radius or drive time search areas. For example, if 30% of a CBG is within the boundary, we’ll include 30% of the total CBG practitioner and demographic data.

Multi-Office Practitioners

When reviewing competitive practitioners for a report, Realscore can assign practitioners to more than one location when applicable. For example, if an orthodontist is only practicing out of one office in a search area 2 days a week, we can adjust this from showing as 100% in the search area to 40%.
